London-based photographer Michelle Marshall explores the beauty of redheads of different races in her project, ‘MC1R’. This exhibition just goes to show that redheads’ weird and quirky genetics create beauty wherever it goes, whether that’s Brazil or Birmingham.
Nathan Wyburn is a Welsh Fine Art graduate who specialises in creating iconic celebrity portraits and ‘Pop culture’ imagery with non-traditional mediums such as food and everyday items. He's appeared on heaps of TV, including 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway'!

This Essex-based brand is headed up by a natural redhead (unsurprisingly!) and sells unique, high-end street wear clothing to kids and adults alike. They put a new and gingertastic spin on unisex designer headwear with studs and leather detailing, handmade for the fashion forward looking for something you can’t find on the high street.
Skcin’s aim is to prevent skin cancer through the education of at-risk groups, including children, outdoor workers and, of course, redheads.
As well as Skcin being Redhead Day UK 2016’s nominated charity, Skcin’s ambassador Lisa Guthrie will talk to the crowd about the charity’s work and educational schemes. Also, pop along to the Skcin stall to have your skin analysed by a UV camera.
The world’s first stretchable UV monitor, the My UV Patch was created by La Roche-Posay to help people digitally monitor their sun exposure. Once applied to the skin, users scan the patch through a smartphone app which gives personalised tips and advice for sun protection through its smart algorithm.

Ever since moving to the UK, Finnish photographer Nina Dodd was gob-smacked by the British phenomenon of “gingerism”, which is basically unheard of in her native country.
Ginger Stories is a collection of photos and tales from redheads of all walks of life, from an orphanage expressing their joy that a family found their adopted twins attractive “in spite of their red hair”, to a young woman, who literally stopped speaking because of bullying.

Cathy Smith, from the Orangutan Foundation, will share her experience of working with the only other redheaded ape. Talking about the work being done to save the orangutan and some fun facts along the way, Cathy will bring along highlights from the charity’s extensive collection of photographs.
A must for lovers of the great apes, this talk is an opportunity to learn more about how to protect our critically endangered redheaded cousins!

Stand-up comedian Paul Kerensa is likeable, intelligent, creative, and most importantly, ginger. He was nominated for a British Comedy Award as part of the writing team for Miranda and has written on each series of Lee Mack’s Not Going Out among other TV shows.
Chortle.co.uk calls Paul a “wildly talented comic”, and we can’t wait to see his hilarious redhead-themed comedy on the live stage at Redhead Day UK 2016!
Labelled as “one to watch” by Time Out, Alasdair Beckett-King is an award-winning comedian and sketch writer. The natural redhead won New Act of the Year in 2014 and has performed stand-up across the UK, including Glastonbury and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Catherine Bohart - Comedy
Catherine Bohart is a proud, if slightly enhanced, ginger. She’s also a comedian, making both the BBC New Comedy Award and Funny Women Award Finals this year and is fast becoming one to watch on the London comedy scene.
Cally is a natural storyteller, bringing her rollercoaster ride of a comedy show to Redhead Day UK 2016!
She took her first show, ‘Cat Call’, to Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year with comedy partner Catherine Bohart, where together they enjoyed 4**** reviews, sell-out rooms and received a Malcolm Hardee Award; they will be touring the show around the UK and Ireland over 2016/early 2017.
Get ready for heaps of anecdotes, observations and stuff even your best mate wouldn’t admit to.
Stewart Cohen is a Canadian photographer about to go to print with his book Scientific Rumors #1. Its concept came from the suggestion that redheads will go extinct, with its foreword written by Carrot Top, a famous redheaded comedian.
Stewart will be snapping away at the photoshoot area to source the remaining portraits need to complete the book!
Red-haired Rebecca Perry brings a shortened version of her one-woman show ‘Confessions of a Redhead Coffee Shop Girl’ to Redhead Day UK 2016! Selling out its entire run at the prestigious 2015 Edinburgh Festival Fringe & Shortlisted for
the Brighton Fringe Award for Artistic Excellence, ‘Confessions of a Redhead Coffee Shop Girl’ is sure to make you giggle!
B&K Islington is putting on a ginger-themed menu just to celebrate Redhead Day UK. The pub is located opposite the venue for Redhead Day UK, so grab yourself a snack or lunch throughout the day!
Tracing back 50,000 years, natural redhead and author Jacky Colliss Harvey delves into the history of red hair, seeking to discover the true meaning of being a redhead and why these stereotypes about ginger hair exist.

Anna James is a freelance writer and journalist. She’s the Literary Editor for ELLE UK as well as a contributor to The Pool, and is a regular literary event chair at bookshops and festivals around the UK.

Rob Stevenson - Compère & Comedian
Rob Stevenson is a compère and comedian from Nottingham. With his ginger wit and hilarity, he’ll be taking care of everyone at Redhead Day UK 2016, guiding the crowd through the day’s events on the live stage.
Get your gingery caricature drawn by up-and-coming illustrator Laura Coppolaro, the brains behind The Wondrous Fox, which will also be on display in our gallery space upstairs at the event.
MC1R is a magazine created especially for redheads; each issue deals with red hair and everything relating to it. The approach of the magazine is so diverse, so all-encompassing, that it’s about more than simply a hair colour.

Sheya Lily - Singer
This will be the second Redhead Day UK performance for 15-year-old Sheya Lily. She regularly busks in and around London and competes in the Mayor of London’s GIGS competitions. Sheya has a laid back singing style and loves to perform acoustic covers.

Karl is becoming quite the regular at Redhead Day UK! This year has already been busy for Karl – his track ‘Miracle’ was in the final selection to be the United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2016 official song and he’s soon to release his new album ‘Oracle’.
Stripped down yet vibrant and ethereal, Karl’s influences include Bon Iver, Hurts, Tori Amos, Prince and Kate Bush amongst others.

Helen Fulthorpe - Singer
Helen Fulthorpe’s big break was on ITV‘s ‘X Factor’, making it all the way to the judges’ houses stage in 2014 with Simon Cowell as her mentor.
Since then, she has travelled up and down the country singing her soulful tunes and supporting for the likes of Alesha Dixon and Sam Bailey on their UK tours. Helen’s single ‘Ashes to Ashes’ is out now and her debut album will be released later this year.

RedBeard - Beatboxer
RedBeard was named the under 18s UK Beatboxing Champion 2015 and has since been beatboxing his way across TV screens, showing off his talent. Most recently you can catch him on the latest Laterooms.com ad!
